Senior Accountant with Business Controller ambitions

Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced finance person who is able to bring our finance department to the next level. In the role of accountant you are responsible for the development of the team (3 FTE) and you are responsible for the correct and complete processing of the financial data.

We are looking for a person who is able to challenge the status quo, eager to bring Finance to the next level and become a true business partner.
The new senior accountant has experience in optimizing the use of ERP systems either through use of automation or through new ways of working.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and complete accounting. Furthermore you are expected to create insights in development of financial results (mainly focused around turnover and margins).
It is expected that you are critical towards the current processes and that you know when it is necessary to make changes to improve.

Our Sr. Accountant has the ambition to grow further into a Business Controller position and directly reports to our Chief Financial Officer. Together with the CFO you will ensure that the financial administration is even further integrated into our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage finance team, their objectives and focus areas;
• Monitor the financial results of the organization via our available ERP system
(Navision) and dashboards (PowerBI);
• Create/deliver financial (monthly) reports;
• Oversee financial plans, such as budgets;
• Improve and modernize existing processes, setup new processes;

Qualifications:
• A completed HBO education (finance related);
• At least 3-5 years work experience, within accountancy/finance; • Affinity with ERP & CRM systems, KPI reporting and Microsoft office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Dutch and English is a must;
• Experience within managing a team is a plus.

• You are a problem solver and excellent negotiator;
• You are analytical, able to work with data and data tools (ERP, databases, management information systems);
• You are organised, able to think in processes and create and maintain a structured governance.
