Quality Health Safety & Environment Manager

Job purpose
We are looking for a QHSE Manager to oversee the quality, health, safety, and environmental activities within our company. You will be part of the operational management team and report directly to the CEO. You will have four key focus areas:

• Setup and maintain our QHSE management system
o Setup a Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental system and implement the associated tools, systems, and processes
o Guide the company through ISO quality certification and subsequent environmental, safety and Health certification
o Manage and carry out internal audits and carry out improvement projects where required
o Manage, coordinate and guide Moolenaar through external audits.
o Setup a reporting structure on key performance indicators and report on company’s QSHE performance to the management team
• Manage our product quality assurance
o Goods quality: Manage and guide the quality control team inspections (2 FTE); vendor inspections, incoming inspection, storage inspection, production inspection and positive release
o Process quality: Analyze and optimize the process quality, quality control points and their traceability in our ERP system
o Customer quality: Manage customer quality requirements, customer complaints and customer relations regarding quality.
• Manage and monitor the health and safety of the working environment and of our products
o Perform RI&E, HACCP analysis of production facilities and production processes
o Use the analysis as input for improvement plans and projects
• Monitor our environmental impact
o Analyze and control our direct environmental impact from production and eventual production incidents
o Monitor our environmental impact within emission, waste, and consumption. Suggest / participate in improvement initiatives to reduce impact

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the QSHE implementation plan and carry it out
• Control the day-to-day operations including auditing, controlling, recording, and improving
• Oversee the product development and production procedures, to ensure products adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
• QSHE subject matter expert, both internal and towards our customers
• Ensure compliance to health and safety guidelines
• Manage the quality control team, documentation and traceability of their inspections, and provide guidance and feedback
• Reject products and material which fail to meet quality standards and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure key processes are documented, up to date and, via internal audits, validate they are followed
• Monitor and report on company QSHE performance

Qualifications:
• Bachelor or master (HBO/WO) within quality management or a relevant technical field
• Experience within QSHE, quality management, quality systems, internal audits, and ISO certification
• Experience within food, horticulture, and retail is a plus
• Knowledge of LEAN, root cause analysis and project management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Dutch and English is a must
• Affinity with ERP systems, KPI reporting and Microsoft office
